【Improved Pitching Rigidity・Front Weight Distribution】Upgrade Set (for DT-04 Fighter NEXGEN only)

For competitive users of the TAMIYA DT-04 Fighter NEXGEN who are dissatisfied with its lack of chassis rigidity and imbalanced weight distribution.

Due to the DT-04 NEXGEN's design, where the motor is positioned even further back than the rear tires, the rear of the car tends to be heavy, while the front becomes excessively light. This manifests as insufficient front weight during cornering. This set addresses this fundamental issue with a decisive design that places a short LiPo battery at the very front of the chassis. It's an integrated package that achieves dual optimization: utilizing the battery itself as a source of front load, and repurposing the space created by its compactness for mounting rigidity-enhancing parts. Through repeated layout considerations during the design phase, we arrived at the optimal point for spatial efficiency and physical performance.

■ Front Weight Distribution & Rigidity Enhancement "Short Battery Holder"

  • This DT-04 specific holder is designed to mount a short LiPo battery at the very front of the chassis.
  • By moving the heavy battery to the front end, it corrects the rear-heavy original balance and improves front tire loading during cornering.
  • At the same time, it suppresses frame twisting and contributes to improved longitudinal (pitching) rigidity. (Screw fixed)

■ Reduced Road Interference "Under Flat Panel" (4-piece set)

  • This 4-piece panel fills in the irregularities and switch holes on the underside of the chassis, creating a flat bottom surface.
  • It reduces contact resistance with the road surface and snags during driving, keeping the bottom clean.
  • By adhering it, it also serves as rigidity reinforcement from the bottom, achieving both functionality and reinforcement. (Adhesive fixing required)

■ Increased Structural Density "Internal Fillers" (5-piece set)

  • This is a 5-piece set of precisely fitting fillers for the space created by the front battery placement.
  • By physically filling the internal cavities of the chassis and increasing structural density, it raises the overall rigidity of the entire vehicle.
  • The fit is intentionally designed to be tight, so by firmly pushing it in with a tool during installation, you can achieve the designed fit and rigidity effect.

  • Designed exclusively for short LiPo batteries. Regular straight packs etc. cannot be used.
  • The internal fillers are intentionally designed for a tight fit. When installing, use a tool to firmly push them all the way in. Insufficient pushing may prevent the designed rigidity effect from being achieved.
  • The under flat panel has an intentionally generous fit, assuming adhesive fixing. Apply a sufficient amount of adhesive, then attach it, and remove any excess adhesive after drying.
  • To maximize the rigidity-enhancing effect of each part, adhesive fixing to the chassis is recommended.
  • The chassis, battery, and electronic components shown in the photos are not included.
  • This product is a 3D printed item. Due to the nature of the manufacturing process, layer lines may be visible on the surface.
  • Slight color variations may occur depending on the manufacturing lot and material condition.
  • Due to the nature of 3D printing, individual differences may occur.
  • Depending on the post-processing state, burrs may remain on the edges. If you are concerned, lightly sand them before use.
  • Due to material properties, prolonged storage or use in high-temperature environments (such as inside a car in direct sunlight) or extremely humid environments may cause deformation or deterioration. Please store in a cool, dry environment.
