・3D front bumper
・3D Front Bumper V2
There are two types :
The differences are as shown in the table.
3D Front Bumper | 3D Front Bumper V2 | |
Internal structure | 3D Curve | Honeycomb |
Bottom | can be | Arinashi |
material | Rubber only | Rubber and plastic |
"3D front bumper"
In a word, this looks like the original .
The thickness and outer line shape are the same as the original.
The internal structure with highly cushioned 3D curves protects the chassis.
The bottom surface lowers the air flow and the center of gravity.
By making the entire bumper heavier, a well-balanced increase in front load can be achieved.
In contrast, the later
"3D Front Bumper V2"
In a word, this is the ultimate competitive event .
While the external line shape is almost identical to the original, the thickness is significantly thinner.
Making the bumper thinner reduces the strength of the bumper itself, so the internal shape is made of a strong honeycomb.
"With" and "Without" bottom
You can choose between the material "plastic" and "rubber" , so there are a total of four patterns .
We conduct tests in various locations, and although it depends on the road surface and circuit layout, the order is roughly as follows:
- Plastic Bottomless
- With plastic bottom, without rubber bottom
- With rubber sole
The higher the number, the better the cornering at high speeds .
The smaller the number, the more agile the movement tends to be.
Regarding ②, there are two types lined up in the same row, and although they are similar, their movements are slightly different, so I think it's a matter of personal preference .
As for weight , it is designed so that it weighs roughly the same whether it has a bottom or not.
Therefore, while the effects of weight remain the same, the only setting points are the differences in bumper shape and material.
Usage points
When using the resin type, the fixing screws are made of aluminum, titanium, etc.
If you use the rubber type, the fixing screws should be iron.
By combining them as shown above, you can bring out even more movement.
This is true when it comes to the movement of the car, but when it comes to the durability of the bumper, it's a different story.
Naturally, the version with a rubber sole is the most durable and will last the longest.
On the other hand, "bottomless plastic" is more likely to bend or crack in a hard crash.
As for the V2, it is based on the Ultimate Competitive model, so it is less durable and provides better protection for the machine than the original model.
